Jeannette Kagame is the First Lady of Rwanda and wife of President Paul Kagame. She was born on August 10, 1962, in Burundi. She grew up in Rwanda and Uganda and later earned a degree in Business from the University of Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.
Jeannette is widely known for her humanitarian work and advocacy for women and children's rights. She founded the Imbuto Foundation, which supports education, health, and other social programs in Rwanda. Jeannette has also been actively involved in promoting economic development and poverty reduction in her country.
Jeannette Kagame has received many honors and awards for her contributions to society, including the African Gender Award, Global Women's Leadership Award, and the Mary Church Terrell Medal for Excellence in Women's Rights and Leadership.
